Today was a special day for me.
After almost a month of rest due to a knee injury, I finally returned to work. It wasn’t just about walking back into a classroom—it felt like stepping back into life. And though I smiled and moved through the motions, there’s a soft knock within me that keeps whispering:
“You are meant for something bigger.”
I don’t know what that “bigger” is yet. But I’m learning to follow the nudge.
I’ve started smiling to myself in the bathroom mirror—
intentionally, gently—because I know that the kids I care for deserve to see that joy in me.
And maybe I do too.
✍️ A Spark to Write Again
All day, I was excited. I knew I’d be writing tonight.
And guess what? I just finished my last evening class of the semester—and this course is the reason I started my blog. What a gift it turned out to be.
I came home full of ideas. But life doesn’t pause for creativity—because a mom is always on.
I still had dinner to make.
Kids were waiting.
Guilt knocked a little for being late with their meal… but I reminded myself: I’m showing up the best I can.
🍲 A Kitchen Full of Care
After dinner, I started my little ritual:
Making my DIY coconut oil for my scalp. It’s something I love doing just for me. I used:
- Curry leaves
- Chopped onion
- Methi (fenugreek) seeds
- Coconut oil
- A few drops of rosemary oil (for growth and cooling)

I massaged it gently into my scalp, left it for 30 minutes, and washed it out. The result?
✨ Soft, calm, refreshed hair—and a happy scalp that finally stopped itching!

🧺 The Night Unfolded Slowly
I cleaned the kitchen, boiled milk to set homemade yogurt, and cooked rice for tomorrow’s lunchbox. Small things—but they felt meaningful.
And while I did all that, I missed my kids. But I was comforted knowing that my husband, my biggest support, was playing with them, teaching them, and giving them love in his own gentle way.
🙏 My Prayer Tonight
Thank you, God.
Thank you, Universe.
Thank you, Earth.
Thank you, soil.
Thank you, air.
Thank you, water.
Thank you, sun.
Thank you, moon.
And thank you to my divine devta and Kuldevi Mata for guiding me, even when I don’t always know where I’m going.
I think I did good today.
Not perfect, but peaceful. Not grand, but full.
And I’ll take that kind of day, any day.
With love,
Poonam
