🌸 Wholesome Thursday Vibes – Healing Knees & Heartwarming Kheer
Today had its own rhythm.
It began with a bowl of warmth—Sabudana Kheer, something me and my husband enjoy on our Thursday fasts. I wanted it to be filling, nourishing, and full of love. So I began by soaking the sabudana, letting it rest as the morning settled around me. In a separate pan, I gently roasted some makhanas (foxnuts) and a handful of chopped nuts in ghee—the fragrance itself felt like comfort. I added saffron strands to warm milk, then stirred in the soaked sabudana and let it simmer until pearls turned translucent and soft.
To elevate it further, I powdered roasted makhanas and stirred them in, along with a spoon of caramelized sugar, chopped dates, and grated coconut powder. The result? A golden-hued bowl of chewy, cozy delight. It wasn’t just food—it was tradition, nourishment, and togetherness in one pot.

After a sweet start, the day took an unexpected turn.
I had my shift from 11 to 3 p.m., but my knee pain flared up midway and I had to come back early. At first, I felt disappointed—but my physiotherapist gently reminded me that healing takes time, especially after jumping back into work routines after long rest. And that it’s okay to slow down.
So I took a nap, letting my body rest as much as my heart.
Later in the evening, I took Dhruv to his first math class. A little milestone moment. I truly hope he learns not just how to solve equations, but how to enjoy the process of practice and growth. I believe practicing regularly isn’t just about math—it’s a life skill.
Dinner was served simply, and while clearing the kitchen, I noticed a milk bottle about to expire. So, I went ahead and turned it into paneer—because why waste something so nourishing? Plus, my kids love fresh paneer, and I love giving them wholesome food made with care.

💛 Today’s little takeaways:
- Listen to your body, not just your to-do list.
- Simple food made with love brings the deepest satisfaction.
- Parenting is more than instructions—it’s walking with them in learning.
- A quiet day can be a soulful day.
✨ So here I am, winding down with a soft smile, a healing heart, and a warm home.
