โMy plate today had no salt, no sugarโฆ yet it was filled with love, tradition, and peace.โ ๐ธ
โWhen faith meets flavor. Thursday Vrat Day done right ๐โ
โ Morning Calm: Coffee & Devotion
Like every day of this challenge, I began with my anchor โ
Black coffee with cinnamon and ghee โ warming, grounding, and sugar-free.
But this wasnโt just another day. It was Thursday, a special day of fasting for Vishnu Bhagwan. ๐ผ
๐ฅญ Divine Shake: No-Sugar, All-Heart
Next came my favorite part of the day โ a creamy, thick, and totally filling papaya shake blended with:
- Soaked almonds, walnuts, and dates
- Water for a smooth blend
- Chunks of ripe papaya
- Topped with cold milk ๐
This shake felt like energy and bhakti in one glass. No need for sugar โ the fruits and dry fruits danced beautifully together. โจ
๐ฆ Water, Silence & Spiritual Check-In
As per my vrat, the rest of the day was:
- โ No salt
- โ๏ธ Yellow/sweet foods
- ๐ง Lots of water
- ๐ Mental stillness with quiet affirmations
I felt light. Peaceful. Present.
Fasting didnโt feel like a restriction โ it felt like a reminder of how little we actually need when weโre nourished from within.
๐ Evening Bliss: Chilla & Halwa
As the sun began to set, I lovingly prepared:
๐ฅ Chillas made from paneer, zucchini, green chilies, besan & sooji
๐ฎ Sooji + besan halwa cooked with brown sugar, desi ghee, and almonds โ my Thursday soul food ๐
I know brown sugar technically bends the rules of the no-sugar challenge,
but this halwa is non-negotiable โ itโs prasad, itโs rooted in memory, and it was made mindfully.
โSometimes, tradition becomes nourishment far beyond nutrients.โ

โ๏ธ Deep connection with my fast
โ๏ธ Assignment submitted (bonus win!)
โ๏ธ No cravings, no guilt, just grace
๐ผ A Final Word
If you think a no-sugar day means a boring one โ
Let me tell you: my Day 3 was full of flavor, soul, and strength.
This challenge isnโt just changing my food habits โ itโs awakening my mindful side, day by day. And that, to me, is the biggest sweetness of all.
